About Test
PTE Academic assesses real-life, academic English, so you will hear excerpts from lectures and view graphs and charts. You will hear a range of accents in the test, from British and American to non-native speakers, so you will be exposed to the type of accents you will encounter in everyday life. During the three-hour test session, there are three main parts to the test: speaking and writing (together), listening and reading.
Why take the test?
PTE Academic is accepted for student and migration applications across the world. PTE Academic is accepted by thousands of universities worldwide, including prestigious institutions such as Harvard Business School, INSEAD and Yale. PTE Academic is also accepted for visa purposes by the Australian and New Zealand governments.
General Facts
Candidate must be 16 years of age. If the candidate is under 18, he/she must also get a parental consent form signed.
Date and Frequency
The exam is conducted throughout the year at the designated Test Centers across the country
Center and Admit Card
There are PTE Academic test centers located in 19 cities in India.
Result
Test scores are available 5 days after the exam date. PTE Academic scores are accessed via an online account. You will receive an email notifying you once your scores are available.
Score Reporting
You can send your score to as many institutions as you like for free.
